Join us for the Southeast District Meeting to be held October 17th. Featured speaker will be Kay Koehler, Webmaster for AAUW of Virginia. She will bring us up-to-date on new features of the AAUW National and AAUW of Virginia websites. Also what AAUW is doing on Facebook and Twitter.

Holiday Celebration
Richmond/Bon Air AAUW branches will meet on December 10th for a Holiday Party from 6:00 to 9:00PM.
The party will be held at the 2300 Club and will be for the first 25 members, spouses or significant others who sign up.

Menu: (no substitutions) Pan-fried trout, house salad with balsamic dressing, oven roasted or sautéed vegetables, and a dessert. Coffee and tea are included as are tax and a 15% gratuity.

Observations: Virginia Government... What Can We Expect?

$5 for light sandwich lunch; pay at meeting, no reservations needed
Our speaker: Nancy Finch served as a legislative liaison, for 24 years at the Virginia General Assembly. She worked primarily for education entities, including the community college system. In recent years, she worked on transportation issues for Virginians for High Speed Rail, and served as a state co-chair for Virginians for Better Transportation in 2004-06. Nancy’s transportation advocacy included work with Virginia’s Congressional delegation. She has worked on political campaigns in Virginia since the 1960s.
We will be streaming the inaugural events as time permits.
